Full Breakdown

Turlock Municipal Code Section 6-3-104(a) requires every single-family residence and commercial business, including multifamily properties of five or more units, to subscribe with the City's franchised collector for garbage, recycling, and compost container service, and to pay the charges regardless of actual use, unless granted a waiver or self-hauling under the chapter's separate requirements. Section 6-3-112 backs this with a minimum service level, requiring the collector to empty containers at intervals no less than four times per month. Only a vacant unit with a signed annual affidavit can suspend billing under Section 6-3-105.

Violations & Fines

Nonpayment triggers a $25 delinquency penalty on the sixth day past due, written notice, and potential service termination after five more days, per TMC 6-3-104(d).
