Residential service collects garbage twice per week; schedules adjust for holidays and inclement weather. City-provided roll-out carts must be used; prohibited contents include hot ashes or coals, concrete, heavy debris, tires, and hazardous materials. Carts must not be overloaded. Bulk items too large for carts may be scheduled for free curbside bulk pickup by calling 806-378-6813 or submitting an online request. Recycling pickup is available; schedule varies by route. First offense: $50 fine; second offense: $150; third offense: $250. Illegal dumping violators are also charged for disposal of dumped materials. Enforcement is by Code Enforcement and Solid Waste.
