Ocoee provides weekly solid waste and recycling collection through the city Public Works Solid Waste Division. Residents receive once-weekly garbage, once-weekly recycling, and once-weekly yard waste pickup on designated routes.
The Solid Waste Division (City Code Chapter 143) provides automated cart service to single-family homes. Carts must be placed curbside by 6:00 AM on collection day and removed within 12 hours after pickup. Yard waste is collected loose or in biodegradable bags not exceeding 50 pounds. Holiday schedules shift collection days; schedules are published at ocoee.org. Service is funded through a monthly residential solid waste fee on the utility bill.
