Anne Arundel County operates a single-stream recycling program (all recyclables mixed in one cart). Not accepted: plastic bags, styrofoam, shredded paper (bag separately), food waste, yard debris, electronics. Contaminated carts receive a non-compliance tag and are skipped until cleaned. Yard waste collected weekly April-December in paper bags or county-approved bins; branches under 4 inches diameter bundled. Mandatory apartment recycling under County Code Article 13-4-202 for properties 10+ units.
