Fulshear provides each utility customer a 95-gallon single-stream recycling cart serviced weekly on Wednesdays, with accepted materials restricted to clean paper, cardboard, plastics, and metals.
Fulshear residents receive a black 95-gallon cart with a green lid for single-stream recycling, collected on the same Wednesday route as garbage. Accepted materials include paper, flattened cardboard, plastic bottles and containers numbered one through five and seven, aluminum and steel cans, and clean glass food and beverage containers. Residents are asked to rinse containers and not bag recyclables. Plastic bags, foam, food waste, yard debris, electronics, and batteries contaminate the load and are excluded.
Carts contaminated with prohibited material may be tagged and left at the curb. Repeated contamination can lead to loss of the recycling cart for the household.
