Fulshear residents may set bulk items out next to their cart on Wednesday; oversized items receive a GFL yellow tag with arranged pickup instructions for the household.
Fulshear's franchise contract with GFL allows residents to place bulk items, such as furniture, mattresses, appliances, and rolled carpet up to one room at four feet wide and 40 pounds, beside their cart on regular Wednesday collection day. If an item is too large or otherwise cannot be collected with the routine route, GFL leaves a yellow tag explaining the resident must contact GFL directly to arrange a special pickup. Construction debris, tires, hazardous waste, and household chemicals are not part of bulk service.
Setting out prohibited materials, repeatedly oversizing items, or leaving items in the right-of-way after a yellow-tag refusal can result in code enforcement nuisance citations.
