Single-stream curbside recycling collected weekly. Accepts paper, cardboard, plastics #1-#7, glass, and metals. No plastic bags or Styrofoam.
Oro Valley operates a single-stream recycling program through its franchise hauler. All recyclables go in one blue container without sorting. Accepted items: newspaper, magazines, office paper, cardboard (flattened), plastic bottles and containers (#1-#7), glass bottles and jars, aluminum and steel cans. Not accepted: plastic bags, Styrofoam, food-soiled paper, ceramics, mirrors, window glass, and garden hoses. Cardboard boxes must be broken down flat. Containers should be rinsed to remove food residue. The Town periodically distributes recycling guides with collection schedules. Pima County also operates drop-off recycling centers for additional materials. Arizona has no mandatory recycling law, so participation is voluntary but strongly encouraged by the Town.
