The City of Tomball contracts with Frontier Waste Solutions for residential solid waste and curbside recycling collection. Residential properties are divided into two sections, each serviced twice per week for trash. Recyclables go into the same poly cart system. All carts and bags must be at the curb before 7:00 a.m. on collection day, and Frontier collects between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Tomball's residential solid-waste program is administered by the city's Utility Services Department and operated by Frontier Waste Solutions. Residents may use either city-provided poly carts or approved bags for trash. Poly carts can be ordered via the Poly Cart Order Form emailed to customerservice@tomballtx.gov; delivery occurs within 5 business days. Trash collection runs twice per week (homes are split into two service zones), with all materials placed at the curb between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on scheduled days. Solid waste is limited to the cart capacity β lids must completely close. Curbside recycling is available through Frontier with no plastic bags permitted in the cart; all recyclables must be empty and food-free. The city does not provide separate bulk-item collection; residents arrange bulk pickup directly with Frontier or use the city's drop-off events. Customer service: 281-290-1450.
Overfilled carts, lids that don't close, or contaminated recycling will not be collected and will be tagged for the resident. Repeated violations of the solid-waste rules under Tomball Code Chapter 22 (Solid Waste) can result in service suspension and fines up to $500 per offense.
