130(A) sets out how discarded materials must be prepped before collection. Grass clippings go in the organic materials container or a cardboard container that does not exceed fifty pounds when full; standard automated cart areas must place all clippings in the cart, and no other container will be serviced there. Green waste, shrubbery and brush trimmings with branches no thicker than one and one-half inches, must be securely tied in bundles no longer than four feet or eighteen inches in diameter, or boxed in cardboard containers that, contents included, stay under three cubic feet and fifty pounds; bundled or boxed green waste cannot go in a regular discarded-materials container.

In automated cart neighborhoods, branches must be cut short enough to fall freely from the cart when it is mechanically inverted. Containers may carry incidental dirt clinging to weeds or leaves so long as the weight cap holds, but sod can never be set out for collection. 140. 140, may lawfully remove discarded materials, and gardening/landscaping businesses may haul their own green waste to an approved organic-waste processing facility as an incident of that business.
