Full Breakdown

City crews collect leaves, limbs and bulky yard items only from the strip of street right-of-way between the roadway and any sidewalk, never on a neighbor's frontage without permission, and never on the sidewalk itself. From April 1 through September 30, leaves and grass clippings are picked up only if bagged and sealed in plastic or similarly durable bags no larger than the city's standard household-garbage container size. Paid tree trimmers and landscapers must leave cut yard waste on the customer's property or haul it off themselves, they can't dump it curbside for the city to collect.

Violations & Fines

Improperly placed piles (on a sidewalk or a neighbor's frontage) or unbagged leaves/clippings during the April-September window can be left uncollected; illegal dumping penalties apply to material dumped outside these rules.
