Summary
New development in Edison must plant one shade tree for every 50 feet of right-of-way frontage, plus perimeter trees around larger parking lots, under Township Code § 25-10.1.
In addition to the trees required to be replaced by this chapter, there shall be planted one (1) shade tree for every fifty (50) feet of frontage on proposed right-of-way.
b. Where development includes the construction of off-street parking for ten (10) vehicles or more, shade trees shall be planted around the perimeter of the parking space in accordance with the standard in paragraph a. above.
c. The types and locations of shade trees to be planted shall be shown in the plans submitted to the Planning Board or Zoning Board of Adjustment in conjunction with the application for development.
