07(M), Chapter XIII of the Supplemental Regulations, Section 1300, sets the Village's fee schedule for permits, reviews, inspections and service pertinent to certain buildings, structures or work. Section 1406, headed Accessory Structures, fixes the permit fee for a shed at $50, the same flat fee the schedule charges for a shed with a concrete floor, a fence, a deck or a porch. Because Section 1300 covers certain buildings, structures or work generally, that $50 fee is what a homeowner pays the Village to obtain a building permit before erecting any of those structures.

All fees for examination of plans, permits and inspections must be paid to the Village before the Building Official issues the permit; the Building Official may waive a plan-check or filing fee at his or her discretion, but an inspection fee cannot be waived without the respective inspector's approval, and a re-inspection made necessary by a contractor's improper work can cost up to $100. The same Chapter XIII fee schedule prices related residential work under Section 1405: a driveway, widened driveway, service walk, patio or brick mailbox permit is also $50 each.
