Coops must be under 24 square feet in area, no taller than 6 feet, placed in the rear yard at least 10 feet from property lines and 75 feet from schools, streets, or neighboring homes. Runs must be enclosed and predator-proof. A building permit is required for the coop. License fees are approximately $85 plus $35 for the license. Under Section 91.14, keeping swine, cattle, goats, or poultry without a license is unlawful. Beekeeping is prohibited under Section 91.14 (amended by Ord. 2017-O-060 and Ord. 2024-O-060).
