Full Breakdown

, and any similar state laws later enacted, on top of the chapter's own rules. Subsection (b) makes it unlawful to erect, establish, or maintain a commercial animal establishment, commercial kennel, or pet shop, which by definition includes a grooming parlor, without first obtaining a City business license; the license issues only after the Animal Control Officer inspects and approves the facility's conditions. Once licensed, a grooming parlor must keep housing facilities structurally sound and in good repair, maintain clean and sanitary animal areas, supply adequate food and water, prevent animal escape, protect the public from the animals and the animals from the public, provide ventilation that removes odors and controls drafts, and size animal rooms, cages, and runs adequately for the animals kept in them. 7004.
