Henderson, NV Building Safety: Building Inspections (2026)

Henderson's building official performs five mandatory inspections on permitted work: foundation (after excavation and rebar placement, before the concrete pour), framing (after structural framing and rough utilities are in), insulation, lath/wallboard, and final (before any occupancy or use). Reinforcing steel and structural framework cannot be covered or concealed without prior approval. Inspection requests must be filed at least one workday in advance under § 15.01.335, and any work that fails inspection must be corrected and re-inspected before it can be concealed. Freestanding walls and fences six feet or less are exempt from final inspection.
