100 of the Rohnert Park Municipal Code governs inspection of grading, excavation and fill work performed under a city grading permit. The grading inspector inspects the project at each stage requiring approval, and more frequently if needed to confirm the professional consultants are exercising adequate control. If any of these professionals finds work is not being done in conformance with the approved plans, the discrepancy must be reported immediately in writing to both the person in charge of the grading work and the grading inspector, with corrective recommendations submitted. If the engineer of record changes mid-project, work stops until the replacement professional formally accepts responsibility for their area. 080, unless the city engineer grants an extension.
