Lynnwood, WA Building Safety: Plumbing Permits (2026)

Lynnwood does not write its own plumbing code from scratch. 010 adopts the latest edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code, less Chapters 12 and 15, as published by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials, together with the Washington State Building Code Council's amendments under WAC 51-56 and 51-57, with one copy kept on file with the Lynnwood city clerk. Where the International Fire Code conflicts with the UPC, the code expressly makes the Fire Code govern. 040, which deletes the UPC's own fee section and table and substitutes a rule that fees are set in a separate, council-adopted fee ordinance, with the value of work calculated by the building official from a nationally recognized value table rather than fixed dollar amounts printed in Title 15.
