02's Schedule of Regulations lists the Maximum Building Height for each zoning district in both feet and stories. 20. The NM1 Neighborhood Multifamily district allows an extra half-story, 35 feet and two-and-a-half stories. 13(6). 18 addresses what does not count toward the height limit: chimneys, cooling towers, elevator bulkheads, silos, water towers, and similar mechanical appurtenances are excluded from the calculation. But that Section carves out a specific, separate cap for residential television and radio towers and antennas: in residentially zoned districts, they cannot exceed 75 feet as measured from established grade, and are outright prohibited above that height.

Towers and antennas up to 40 feet are allowed without additional approval, but anything above 40 feet and below 75 feet requires written permission from the owners of at least two-thirds of the lots adjoining or abutting the property, whenever the structure's height exceeds its distance from the property lines of those adjoining lots. All such residential towers must be self-supporting, freestanding structures, and cannot be located in the required front yard.
