Full Breakdown

Under Township Code Chapter 362, a sexually oriented business cannot operate within 1,500 feet of a place of worship, a public or private school or school bus stop, a growth-area/village/rural-development district boundary, another sexually oriented business, any residential use or zone, or a public park or playground. Distances are measured in a straight line, ignoring intervening structures, from the building housing the business to the nearest property line of the protected use. A conforming business isn't rendered nonconforming if one of these uses moves in nearby afterward.

Violations are fined a minimum of $100 per offense; each day of unlawful operation, and each film, videocassette, or live-entertainment showing, is a separate offense under § 362-6.
