Brick Township prohibits trailers, semitrailers, and truck tractors from being stored on residential properties in all R-zones. Commercial vehicles over 10,000 pounds GVW may not idle for more than 3 minutes per hour in residential areas.
No trailer, semitrailer, or truck tractor may be located, maintained, or stored on any residential zone property (R-R, R-20, R-15, R-10, R-7.5, R-5, R-M), whether on wheels, blocks, or other support, except for delivery purposes. Motor vehicles exceeding 10,000 pounds GVW may not idle for longer than 3 minutes in any hour while stationary on a public right-of-way in a residential district or quiet zone. Covered trailers used for storage are banned from residential property under Chapter 445, Article II.
General penalty: fines up to $2,000 or imprisonment up to 90 days.
