Full Breakdown
The Unified Development Code sets minimum separations for cannabis establishments, measured from the front door of the proposed business to the nearest lot line: 1,000 feet from any pre-K-12 school, 300 feet from a community facility, and 1,500 feet from a nonrestricted gaming property, with consumption lounges held to a 1,500-foot standard from schools and community facilities too. Cultivation and production facilities must also stay 660 feet from residentially adjacent land, and outdoor consumption lounges 1,500 feet. No cannabis use of any kind is allowed inside the Las Vegas Boulevard Gaming Corridor. Applicants can seek a Waiver of Development Standards to shrink these distances toward the state minimums in NRS 678B.
Violations & Fines
Siting a cannabis business inside a buffer without an approved Waiver of Development Standards violates Title 30 and blocks the business license and land-use permits Clark County requires before opening.
