Henderson cannabis establishments must maintain minimum separation distances from schools, child care facilities, churches, and parks under HMC Title 19, layered on top of state distance rules in NRS 678B.250.
Recreational cannabis was legalized statewide in Q2 2016 under what is now NRS 678. Henderson permits dispensaries, cultivation, and production in narrowly drawn zones with mandatory buffers from sensitive uses. Dispensaries cannot locate within 1,000 feet of a public or private school and 300 feet of a community facility, child care, church, or public park, measured property line to property line. Conditional use permits run through Planning and Zoning, and cap counts limit total establishments citywide. Consumption lounges authorized under AB 341 face the same buffer and cap framework.
Operating inside a buffer or without a conditional use permit triggers license revocation, daily zoning fines, and possible state Cannabis Compliance Board action.
