Redondo Beach, CA Cannabis Regulations: Buffer Zones (2026)

1626 of the Redondo Beach Municipal Code governs commercial cannabis retailers, and its location requirements build a dense set of buffers measured from the nearest property lines of the affected parcels. No retailer may locate within 1,500 feet of any public or private high school or middle school, or within 600 feet of any public or private elementary school, day care center, or youth center. A separate 150-foot buffer protects Dale Page Park specifically, and retailers must also stay 1,000 feet from any other cannabis retailer, preventing clustering.
