Every swimming pool in the City of Alpharetta must be enclosed by a fence at least 5 feet high with no gap wide enough to pass a 4-inch sphere, under Unified Development Code Section 2.3.3.B. The gate has to self-close and self-latch, the fence cannot block sight lines at street intersections, and the Building Official must approve a construction plan before anyone digs a pool.
