Town of Islip bicycle riders may not ride on sidewalks within a business district, and every rider on any sidewalk must yield to pedestrians and sound an audible signal before passing. Parking or leaving a bicycle so it blocks pedestrian or vehicular traffic on any street, sidewalk or building frontage is also prohibited. Violations carry up to a $15 fine per offense under Chapter 4.
