In the Town of Southampton outside the villages, any building erected above the height limit set for its zoning district loses more than clearance: Town Code § 330-84 caps lot coverage at 10% for such taller structures, bars them from residential or tenancy use, and forbids any sign or advertising device on them. Private radio and television antennas may never exceed the district's permitted height.
