Ascension Parish Code § 6-15 lets the Building Official condemn a structure that is unsafe, unsanitary, a fire hazard or otherwise dangerous to human life or public welfare in unincorporated Ascension Parish. Notice and abatement follow the condemnation process in the adopted 2015 International Property Maintenance Code, and any vacant structure left unsecured against entry is automatically deemed unsafe.
