Generator Noise

Canyon County bans generators and other loud motorized equipment in county parks during quiet hours, defined as 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., under Code section 04-01-15(6). The rule applies only inside county park and waterway boundaries in unincorporated Canyon County, Idaho, not within Caldwell, Nampa or the county's other incorporated cities, which enforce their own noise codes.

QUIET HOURS: The time period between ten o'clock (10:00) P.M. of one calendar day and seven o'clock (7:00) A.M. of the following calendar day. ... (6) Quiet Hours: During quiet hours, no generators or other motorized equipment emitting loud sound and exhaust shall be permitted to be in operation; provided, however, that vehicles entering and exiting the campground are permitted.
