Juvenile Curfew

Chatham County bars unsupervised minors 16 and younger from public streets, parks, playgrounds and other public places in the unincorporated county between 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. on weeknights, with the curfew stretching to midnight-to-6:00 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays under Sec. 11-110. Seven exceptions cover minors with a parent, running an errand, or coming home from work, school events or a religious activity.

Park Curfew

Chatham County's twelve unincorporated neighborhood parks are open from 8:00 a.m. until dark daily. Its other county parks and grounds close overnight: 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. in fall and winter, and 11:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. in spring and summer, under Code Sec. 23-101.
