Prohibited Species
In unincorporated Chelan County's Fish and Wildlife Habitat Conservation Areas Overlay District, Chelan County Code § 11.78.060 bars introducing plants, wildlife or fish that aren't indigenous to the region into a habitat conservation area unless a state or federal permit authorizes it. The same section treats any species on the state noxious weed list, or any plant local conservation districts consider a problem weed, as exotic and invasive for mitigation planning purposes.

(F) Plants, wildlife, or fish species not indigenous to the region shall not be introduced into a habitat conservation area unless authorized by a state or federal permit or approval. (G) Exotic and invasive species may include any species on the state noxious weed list, or considered a noxious or problem weed by the Natural Conservation Services Department or local conservation districts.
