Pool Permits
Unincorporated Forsyth County requires a building permit from the Department of Planning and Community Development before any grading, excavation, or construction begins on a residential swimming pool. The pool itself must also comply with the International Swimming Pool and Spa Code as adopted by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, under County Code Sections 7-2.1 and 7-6.4.
