Park Event Permits

Reserving a Fresno County park or picnic area for a group gathering requires a permit from the director of public works and planning under Code Section 13.16.040(B). Reservations run first-come, first-served; groups of 25 or more post a cleanup deposit, and Section 13.16.040(C) adds a separate use fee due 60 days before the event.

Street Fair Rules

Fresno County requires a Temporary Use Permit before any fair, festival, carnival, swap meet or similar event can operate in the unincorporated county. Section 858.5.050 caps these events at 10 consecutive days, or five two-day weekends, per 12-month period, and Section 858.5.060 requires the application at least 180 days before the event with notice mailed to neighbors within 300 feet.
