Bike Lane Rules
Unincorporated Highlands County's traffic code defines a bicycle path as a way physically separated from motor traffic and, under Sec. 11-52, makes it unlawful to stop, stand or park any vehicle on a sidewalk, bicycle path or bicycle lane. The Sheriff's Office enforces the ban as a civil, noncriminal infraction carrying a $30 fine.
