Setback Rules

Iredell County's Land Development Code sets minimum yard setbacks by zoning district in dimensional-requirement tables. In the county's baseline R-A Residential Agricultural District, Table 2.5 requires a 35-foot front yard, 15-foot side yard, 35-foot rear yard and 25-foot corner-lot setback for single-family homes, and the same figures apply in the R-20 Single-Family Residential District.

Structure Height Limits

Iredell County caps residential structures at 35 feet in its core zoning districts. Table 2.5 sets a 35-foot maximum height for single-family and two-family homes in the R-A Residential Agricultural District, and the R-20 Single-Family Residential District carries the identical 35-foot cap, with narrow public-building and utility-structure exceptions under Section 2.2.5.
