Food Truck Permits
Every mobile food unit, nonmobile food unit and pushcart operating in Kane County needs an annual permit from the county Health Department under Code Sec. 11.5-28. Permits expire December 31 regardless of when they're issued, cost a fee set in the county's environmental health fee schedule, and cannot transfer between owners or locations.
