Open burning of garbage in unincorporated Kendall County is banned outright, and burning leather, rubber, plastic, tires or other toxic material is prohibited everywhere in the County except at an IEPA-permitted facility. Even permitted yard-waste burning must sit at least twenty feet from any building and stop on IEPA ozone-action alert days.
