Prohibited Species
Kendall County's natural open space standards name seventeen invasive plant species, including reed canary grass, purple loosestrife, buckthorn, honeysuckle, and multiflora rose, that cannot be among the five most dominant species in any required restoration planting. The rule applies to subdivision detention basins, wetlands, prairies, and other naturalized areas approved under Section 30-197.
