Digital Billboards

Leon County caps digital billboards at six countywide under Sec. 10-9.609, and a company can hold no more than two-thirds of that total. A new one requires permanently removing four existing off-site signs, plus a 300-foot setback from residential zoning and brightness limits measured in candelas per square foot.

(13)Signs located inside windows which identify or advertise activities, services, goods, or products available within the building, and which collectively cover 25 percent or less of the window glass surface area. Window film with graphics is counted as a window sign and is prohibited in some special districts.
