Encampment Sanitation

Unincorporated Lewis County bans camping or sleeping in a vehicle on county-controlled property outside posted areas. Lewis County Code § 8.60.020 makes unauthorized camping a citable offense, but an officer must first warn the person, point them to shelter, and give them a chance to leave before any citation or arrest, and enforcement pauses entirely when local shelters are full.
