Park Event Permits

Anyone holding a special event in a Lewis County park or recreation area needs a permit under § 12.05.170. The application must list the sponsor, dates, hours, the park area requested and any rule variances needed, and the county must approve or deny it in writing within 10 days.

Unincorporated Lewis County requires a music festival permit before anyone advertises or holds a gathering of 200 or more people with live or recorded music lasting over four hours, under Lewis County Code Chapter 5.15. The community development department reviews applications filed at least 90 days ahead, and festival grounds must sit 500 yards from schools, churches or neighboring buildings.
