Parade Permits

Closing a County Highway in unincorporated McHenry County for a parade, marathon or festival needs a Temporary Highway Closure permit from the McHenry County Division of Transportation under § 10.12.420. The County only allows a closure when no feasible detour-free option exists, and the organizer, not the County, pays for traffic control, signage and any Sheriff's presence.
