Fire Pits & Backyard Fires
Within Oneida County's own campgrounds, campfires are allowed only for cooking or heating and only inside a designated fireplace, fire-ring or grill under General Code § 14.18(4)(b)3. Unattended fires, cutting live wood for fuel and bringing in outside firewood are separately banned, and a violation draws a $100.00 forfeiture, $249.00 with costs.
