Ouachita Parish Code § 3½-34 bars any owner-occupant, landlord, or sublessor from letting a dwelling unit for occupancy, and bars leaving a vacant dwelling standing, unless it complies with the chapter's minimum requirements, including keeping the premises free of nuisance conditions such as weeds, dead trees, trash, and garbage. The parish administrator enforces the standard, but only within the unincorporated parish.
