Repairs & Habitability
Sauk County Code § 28.012 lets the county Health Officer condemn a rental or any dwelling as unfit for human habitation when it is decayed, unsanitary, infested, or missing working water, sewer, heating, electrical, or septic service, or buried under solid waste and animal debris. A condemned unit gets placarded and cannot be reoccupied until the Health Officer inspects it again and lifts the notice in writing.
