Leak Reporting Duty
Spotsylvania County will only adjust a water or sewer bill for a leak if the customer reports and repairs it and then proves that to the county administrator. County Code § 22-339 lets the administrator credit up to two consecutive billing periods once a customer for a buried or exposed pipe leak documents the location and fix, but irrigation-line leaks are excluded entirely.
