Historic-Cultural Monuments

Wyandotte County's Unified Government can designate a local historic landmark purely on cultural grounds. Sec. 27-147 lets the landmarks commission recommend any site, building or district that exemplifies the city's cultural, economic, social or historical heritage, even without a National Register listing.
