Yakima County requires street-facing landscaping, including trees spaced no more than 30 feet apart, on new development along public road frontages under Code § 19.21.030. Frontages zoned RS, RT, SR, R-1, R-2, and R-3 need a minimum six-foot-wide planting strip; single-family homes, duplexes, and home businesses are exempt.
