Middletown, OH Curfew Laws: Juvenile Curfew (2026)

01 sets two curfew schedules. m. on Saturday and Sunday. m. on Saturday and Sunday. 02, no minor may remain in any public place, on the premises of any establishment in the City, or on or around vacant lots or vacant private property during curfew hours. The ordinance also reaches adults: no parent or guardian may knowingly permit or, through insufficient control, allow a minor to violate curfew, and no owner, operator or employee of an establishment may knowingly allow a minor to remain on the premises during curfew hours.

03 lists nine exceptions, including when the minor is accompanied by a parent or guardian, running an errand for a parent without detour, traveling interstate in a vehicle, engaged in lawful employment without detour, responding to an emergency, standing on the sidewalk abutting the minor's own residence or a non-complaining next-door neighbor's residence, attending a supervised school, religious or civic-sponsored activity, exercising First Amendment rights, or if the minor has been legally emancipated. 02(c) if police were promptly notified that a minor was present and refused to leave.
