The amphitheater west of the CSX railroad tracks closes from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. for all non-permitted uses. The pavilion restrooms and the Riverwalk Skatepark restrooms close from 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., and the public day dock closes over the same hours with boat mooring prohibited, except for vessels used by authorized local governments in a public transit plan. G.T. Bray Park, leased to and operated by Manatee County, is exempt.
Closing hours must be posted in all parks. The chief of police can order a park closed for up to 24 hours after a disturbance that endangers health, safety and welfare or unreasonably disturbs adjacent properties, and a person who stays or returns after being told of the closing is subject to arrest. A fenced and locked park is off limits to everyone. The section was last amended by Ord. No. 4060 on 5-28-25.
