Eagle Mountain, UT Curfew Laws: Park Curfew (2026)

EMMC 7.05.040(B), part of the parks and trails permits chapter, sets a citywide overnight closure: 'Parks in the city are closed overnight each day from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Trails are closed overnight each day from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.' The same subsection bars anyone from being in a park during closed hours whether on foot or in any type of vehicle or conveyance. The closure applies to every publicly dedicated park, trail, open space and single-purpose recreational facility in the city under EMMC 7.05.020, which covers named facilities such as the Silver Lake Amphitheater, skate park and bike park under the EMMC 7.05.030 definition of 'park.' The city may waive other park use restrictions case by case for an approved special event under EMMC 7.05.040(H)(3), but that carve-out addresses the animal restrictions subsection, not the overnight hours themselves, so a special event permit does not by itself authorize presence after closing unless the permit specifically extends hours.

Motor vehicle rules layered onto the same chapter reinforce the overnight rule: EMMC 7.05.040(C) bars driving in a park except at posted speeds and in designated areas, with exceptions only for public safety, wheelchairs and emergency vehicles.
